Privacy policy
Last updated August 16, 2026
The short version: we collect the email you give us on the waitlist, what you send through the support form, and modest analytics — nothing loads from ad networks unless you say yes. Purchases happen on Amazon under Amazon’s policies. The details are below.
1. Who we are
This privacy policy describes how Really Something Products, LLC (“we,” “us”) collects and uses information on couchshaver.com (the “Site”). It applies to the Site only. Purchases of The Original Couch Shaver™ are made on Amazon, and everything you do there — payment, shipping address, order history — is governed by Amazon’s own privacy policy, not this one.
2. What we collect
Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, along with how you found us (the referring page and any campaign tags on the link you clicked) and limited technical details used to prevent abuse: the last segment of your IP address (not the full address) and a shortened browser identifier.
Support requests. If you contact us through the support form, we collect your name, email address, message, the topic you select, and — if you choose to provide it — your Amazon order number.
Analytics. See section 3. We do not collect payment information, and the Site has no user accounts.
3. Cookies and analytics
First-party cookies. The Site sets a small number of first-party cookies that remember which link or campaign brought you here, so that if you later join the waitlist or click through to Amazon we can attribute that visit correctly. These cookies are ours, are not shared with advertisers, and expire on their own.
Always-on measurement. We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which are cookieless and aggregate — they tell us how many people visited and how fast pages loaded, without identifying you.
Consent-gated measurement. Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, and the TikTok Pixel load only if you accept them through the consent banner. If you decline, they never load. You can change your choice at any time from the consent settings link in the footer.
4. How we use your information
We use the information above to: (a) send you the waitlist confirmation and let you know when the product launches; (b) answer your support and warranty requests; (c) understand which of our marketing actually works; and (d) protect the Site against spam and abuse, including rate limiting.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email beyond what you signed up for.
5. Service providers
We use a small set of service providers to run the Site, each of which processes data only on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics), Neon (database hosting), Resend (email delivery for confirmations and support), and Upstash (rate limiting). If you consent to analytics cookies, Google, Meta, and TikTok receive the measurement data described in section 3 under their own policies.
6. How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept until you unsubscribe or until we retire the waitlist, whichever comes first; unsubscribing stops all mailings immediately. Support correspondence is kept as long as needed to resolve your request and meet our warranty obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
Every email we send includes a working unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and we will honor the request unless we are legally required to keep something.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights to access, delete, correct, and port your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We honor these requests for everyone, regardless of residence.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it here and revise the “last updated” date above. If a change meaningfully affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell waitlist subscribers by email first.
